What have you learned about your self in 2010?
I've learned that I am stronger than I ever thought I was. I always pictured myself as this weak individual, but this year I overcame so much and didnt break.

V'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I met in my apartment complex @ my pool. I didnt like him at all at first.
Now that your sons are just about grown, what do you all still enjoy doing together as a family? We love just hanging out, playing board games(monopoly is our fav), spades, talking and laughing. We have so much fun together. Plus my family is a sports family so we spend a lot of time watching and talking about sports.
What has been your biggest struggle with wls? The entire thing. I still say my surgery(s) didnt take. I've had 2 and still I am fat.
What could you have changed? Not focusing so much on pounds and focused more on getting healthy. Being obsessed with the pounds was my downfall. But I am back in control now with a different mindset.
What was outside of your control? My depression (fighting that and trying to focus on wls was a head trip.)
What advice would you give someone who is currently having a similar experience with their wls? Just focus on getting healthy and get off the scale. Exercise everyday and eat healthy.
Having been bit by the economy, how have you filled the time? I was depressed and laid in the bed for 15 months straight. It was only 2 months ago that I decided enough was enough. So I started exercising and doing the things I used to love to do.

Have you instilled in your children to go to college and get the career first before having kids? If so, how did you do that? Yes! They were caught up in struggle with us. I never hid anything from them. I taught them to learn from my mistakes. Praying that it sticks. So far, no grandkids. I told them I dont want to be a grandma yet. lol Give me another 10 years.
Do you have your degree now, even though you had kids first? If not, have you ever thought about going back to college? No Degree, but I have been blessed to have excellent job opportunities. Tried the whole college thing and its not for me. (at least not when I tried) Maybe I will try again. Who knows...
